The UK Prime Minister is expected to urge supporting countries to supply Ukraine with more advanced missile systems to strike enemy locations during discussions in London on the upcoming Friday.

The prime minister is set to welcome Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky alongside what's known as "coalition of the willing", comprising more than 20 of Kyiv's partners who have committed to offer the Ukrainian government security guarantees once a ceasefire is negotiated.

The Ukrainian leader has been pleading for an extended period for additional long-range weapons from the West, a move that Moscow has warned would intensify the conflict.

The Ukrainian president is coming from the EU capital, where he held talks with EU leaders on the previous day requesting funding aid.
