The First Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.

In numerous discussions, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for Microsoft's gaming division. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a lesser-known competitor. Platform-specific outlets began covering regarding Sony's platform for the first time. The past year represented complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox still intends to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its premier subscription.

The Current Inclusions

The two games you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Starting January 13th, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Robust Selection of Games

All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service in the first place. Yet, this selection are rock solid. It offers a healthy blend of older titles you may have skipped and new-ish games that didn't get the attention they warranted upon launch — transforming them into perfect candidates to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
