Paramount Skydance Set to Remove Nearly 2,000 United States Roles – Update
Paramount Skydance will initiate significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, removing about 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn under top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August with a value of $8.4bn.
Further overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with the company planning to announce all specifics via its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.
Earlier reports stated that Paramount was looking to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.
By December 2024, the company employed almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 contract workers.
The organization did not immediately respond regarding the report.
