Major Internet Disruption Hits Dozens Websites and Applications

An extensive online failure has affected many online platforms and applications globally, as users experiencing problems connecting to the web following issues at Amazon’s cloud computing platform.

The disrupted apps comprise the social media app Snapchat, Roblox, Signal, and Duolingo, in addition to multiple Amazon-owned platforms like its key e-commerce platform and the Ring doorbell doorbell company.

Throughout Britain, Lloyds bank was affected in addition to its affiliates Halifax and Bank of Scotland, while there were additional accounts of problems accessing the HMRC online portal on Monday morning. Furthermore across the UK, many Ring customers took to social media to complain their home gadgets were failing.

Just within Britain, accounts of problems on individual applications ran into the tens of thousands for every service.

Officials confirmed that the problem began in the east coast of the America at the cloud division, a division that offers vital internet framework for many companies, who utilize capacity on the company's servers. AWS is the biggest global online services system.
