News has broken that original actors Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are returning to their iconic characters in the next chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The film is currently in production.
A Significant Reunion for Fans
The actors are slated to play Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the roles they originated. Speculation suggests their appearance will take the form of a flash-forward sequence, given that the original saga concluded with their characters married and with children.
