Flights Resume at Edinburgh Airport After Significant Air Traffic Control Outage

Flight operations have recommenced at Scotland's primary international airport after a substantial ATC system failure halted all operations.

Every arrival and departure were suspended because of an systems problem that occurred at about 08:30.

A number of travelers found themselves stranded in jets at the stand during the disruption.

Operations Restart with Ongoing Delays

Officials announced at 10:40 that flights had resumed, and expressed gratitude to passengers for their "cooperation and patience".

However, considerable delays are anticipated to persist for some time. Flights to key destinations like Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, and Bristol have been called off, with a host of additional flights experiencing delays.

A spokesperson had previously estimated that dozens of flights could be affected.

"Passengers are advised to check directly with their airline for the most up-to-date details on their booked journeys," was the consistent advice.
